Feng Shui Tools

A house has a very specific energetic pattern determined by the land, the shape of the house, its position on the property, the direction and orientation of the house, the nearby street and numerous other parameters in and around a building. The main goal in Feng Shui is to balance the Qi/Chi of the house and match our own energy with the energy of our living space. In order to do so we utilize a number of measures and tools.

Traditional Feng Shui tools include devices to balance the five elemental qualities (water, wood, fire, earth and metal) or items for protection such as statues of benevolent gods, animals representing good luck and prosperity, written blessings, etc. As you can see there is a fine line separating true energetic influence and upcoming superstition when dealing with such subtle energetic worlds.

Traditional chinese coins for good fortune.

Typical traditional Feng Shui tools are:

  • Bagua mirrors for protection (always installed outside the house, often above the front door).
  • Statues of dragons, lions etc. to guard a space.
  • Mirror balls to dissipate negative incoming energy from neighbors (recommended color is cobalt blue)
  • Statues of gods to enhance specific areas in a house, such as meditation/contemplation or prosperity, or just as a representation of good luck.
  • The three-legged toad to bring good fortune, often seen with a coin in its mouth.
  • Old chinese coins, bound together in groups of 3, 6 or 9 as symbols of abundance or specifically to utilize metal quality.
  • Wind chimes to lead the Qi/Chi. However, wind chimes slow down the flow of energy, so we want to position them at the back window of a house to help us keep the energy in the house, but never on the front steps of the porch where they would stop Qi/Chi from entering the house in the first place.
  • Bamboo flutes to lift ceiling beams and help counteract the drain of sloped ceilings above beds.
  • Water fountains to enhance prosperity, often combined with plants. Water and wood quality together is the ideal combination to stimulate wealth & prosperity in the Bagua. Please be aware of the practical potential in each of these measures corresponding to size, color and form. A tiny desk fountain will not make a big difference in terms of stimulating the energy for a large business.
  • Fish tanks are used for boosting prosperity, too. For serious Feng Shui followers even the specific type and numbers of fish matter (e.g. 6 red and 3 black fish).
  • Plants such as bamboo or money trees help to stimulate money aspects. Never use cactus or other spiky leaves for this purpose.
  • Hanging crystals to pull energy into a room through a window as they rotate slowly in the sunlight.
  • Dolphins or other figures in pairs to enhance the relationship area.

The list can be endless, and as previously mentioned, often crosses the line between real energetic impact and superstition which opens it up to easy criticism. In all fairness, I tried out many of the above tools myself, however, I did not always get the desired results.

Nevertheless, the search for more effective devices opened up new realms beyond traditional Feng Shui: ancient Western Geomancy and Bio-Geometry aligned with modern Quantum Physics. These Western energy tools are often developed with the help of dowsing, intuition and  clairvoyant guidance combined with new age science.

They provide neutralization of detrimental earth energies and boost the beneficial parts of a space for the people living there. Uneven shapes of buildings are balanced, missing aereas energetically filled, sloped ceilings in upper floors counteracted and threats from neighbor buildings deflected.

The new Feng Shui Power Plus discs for houses and a protective pendant
against other people's energetic drains.

To address personal drains caused by other people, co-workers, clients, patients or students, there are energetic shields available in form of pendants to sustain one's own energy against "energy vampires". Our six year old asks for his pendant before he leaves for school as he senses the difference over the day.

Examples for modern western energy tools are:

  • Geopathic stress shields and space harmonizers for entire buildings (such as the Feng Shui Power disc series).
  • Qi/Chi boosters for homes and businesses such as the Cosmic Heart Spiral or the new Business Power Plus disc.
  • Mobile shields in form of pendants for protection against geopathic stress, drains of other people and imbalances caused by EMFs.
  • Items for electronic equipment such as the E-Smog Server for protection from stress created by cellphones, computers, I-pods, TVs and most electrical appliances.
  • Electronic filters for power circuits to suppress harmful spikes ("dirty electricity").
  • Latest developments feature protective devices for pets which include strengthening a pet's bioenergetic field to make them less receptive against ticks and flees. Many people feel uncomfortable using chemicals on their pet when they have small children at the same time cuddling with their loved animal.

The methods we use for testing new devices are general observation of health and wellness, dowsing, AK-testing (Applied Kinesiology – muscle testing), the use of electronic equipment and increasingly new scientific methods such as thermography, live blood microscopy and skin response biofeedback.

Protective devices against EMF stress caused by cellphones, computers, I-pods, etc.

A frequently asked question is how those tools work; how they neutralize a whole building from Geopathic stress and at the same time balance numerous Feng Shui problems such as irregular shapes (L-shaped or U-shaped structures), split levels, stairs running directly out the front door or sloped ceilings or beams.

The energetic worlds are structured similar to our physical world, just not limited to form. In order to change resonances with detrimental forces and to enhance positive vibrational patterns very specific energetic programs are installed on "anchor tools". Try to compare this to the application of a program for a computer:  a CD or a similar storage medium is necessary to utilize a program in the harddrive of the computer and to make it accessible. In a similar way energetic programs are anchored in devices such as the Feng Shui Power discs which activate carefully defined information as soon as they are placed in the inner etheric layer of  a building.

We see proof of the effect of those tools when insects move out of a house, when babies sleep through the night for the first time, or when AK muscle-testing shows us from one minute to the next a significant increase in a person's Qi/Chi.

As always we hope to have stirred up your interest to learn more about the fascinating world of Feng Shui. Feel free to call or email me with any questions.
I wish everone a happy Christmas and a very successful new year 2007!
